Aloft Upgrade
The latest version of Aloft Flight Log is v4.00.
Upgrade to this version for a nominal fee by entering the existing serial number which is
displayed in the About box in the program. A new serial number will be
emailed upon verification.
Aloft is now available in three editions: Student, Private and Commercial.
Student Edition
The Student edition will be available as a free, limited version of the program designed to be used during flight training.
This edition is limited to a maximum of 100 flights and 3 hours per flight. Flight positions are limited to Dual and PIC.
Private Edition
The Private edition is designed for the private pilot, who wants a full-featured logbook but doesn't need all the additional features in the Commercial edition.
Commercial Edition
The Commercial edition is designed for the professional, commercial pilot.
Features unique to the Commercial edition:
- Time Limits reporting
- Duty Time recording
- Flight Categories
- PIS/us, SIC, Instructor, Cruise and Engineer flight positions

Improved logbook printing
Printing of the logbook has been improved and now offers settings for page size, margins, fonts, colors and better field selection. |

This allows easier backup of the file by saving it with other documents or on a server. |

Custom date option for Summary
A "custom" option has been added to the selectable dates for the Summary View. |

Editable Approach list
The list of IFR approaches is now editable to allow adding additional approach types. |

The Flight Currency view can now show currency extension information to show what is needed to keep the item current. |

Handling of the data file has been improved by verifying the file before reading it, only updating the file when needed and automatically backing up the file before overwriting it. |

A Simulator option has been added to the aircraft class definition to record simulator time. |
